Kruger Sits Down and Finds Gold

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The board was showing {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, Bernard Greenspoon checked to Barry Kruger who led out for 6,000 into a pot that had 22,200 in the middle. The button player and Greenspoon both made the call.

The {k-Hearts} came down on the river, action checked to Kruger who bet 10,000 and found a call in the button player. The button opponent tabled {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped set and Kruger tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a higher set, taking down the pot after just arriving at the table and moving him into the chip lead of the tournament.
