Napierala Finds a Double Through Miller

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

All the cards were face up on the table and all the chips were in the middle. Blake Napierala had {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} in front of him and Andrew Miller {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

The board showed {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}, giving Miller just jack high while Napierala had a rivered pair of kings. That pot brings Napierala over the 100,000 as he is looking like one of the front runners to make Day 2.

Spears Continues to Shove his Stack Around

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The latter stages of Day 1c has seen Andy Spears limited to just one move and that is moving all in. He has done so a hand full of times and just got another shove through when he was in the small blind and faced with a raise of 7,100.

Spears reached for his chips and moved them all in for a total of 21,300. His opponent thought for a moment but decided to fold, giving the pot to Spears who now has above starting stack for the first time in a few levels of play.

Droege Reaches a Six Figure Stack

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The board was showing {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} when Maximilan Droege was faced with an all in of around 28,000 from an opponent, with one person left to act behind him and the pot having already around 14,000 in it.

Droege thought for a brief moment before making the call, the player behind him folded and the two remaining runners turned over their hands. His opponent showed {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for top pair with top kicker, but would be almost drawing dead as Droege turned over his {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a flopped set of nines.

The {6-Clubs} on the turn sealed the deal for Droege with his set of nines as he now sits above the six figure mark and will be looking to capture a Day 2 birth with his newly acquired chips.
