The action has rolled over into Level 9 bringing the end of late registration for Day 1b. Official numbers will be available soon with the tournament clock currently displaying 205 total entries.
With 146 entries in the Day 1a flight and 204 here this evening for Day 1b, the $50,000 guarantee for Event #1 has been surpassed just halfway through the starting flights.
The prize pool currently sits at $56,525 with $23,579 gathered on Day 1a and another $32,946 this evening.
The Saturday Day 1c and 1d flights are expected to be even larger. The prize pool should easily end up over $100,000 if that is the case. Pretty large value for a $200 buy-in.

Julie Billiteri opened under the gun to 5,000 finding calls from the player in the cutoff, the button, and the big blind. A flop fanned out and Billiteri continued for 15,000. The player in the cutoff moved all-in for about 45,000 and when action folded back around to Billiteri she quickly put her opponent at risk.

After getting his stack up to about 75,000, Marty Derbyshire has fallen victim to the sickest of poker coolers, running pocket kings into Kevin Garry's pocket aces.
A string of bets between the two saw all the chips go into the middle preflop with Garry having Derbyshire slightly covered. No help on the board sent Derbyshire to the rail and all the chips to Garry.
All is not lost for the Canadian as Saturday features two more qualifying flights for Day 2.
