Casillas Busts as Bremseth Spikes River to Crack Kings
A player opened under the gun and received a call from early position, before Jose Casillas three-bet jammed for around 54,000 from middle position.
Terje Bremseth was on the button, and he rejammed for around 80,000. Richard Burke was in the big blind, and he took a peek at his cards, before calmly moving his covering stack into the middle with the cold five-bet. Unsurprisingly, the original opener and caller got out of the way.
Jose Casillas: A♣10♥
Terje Bremseth: K♣J♦
Richard Burke: K♥K♠
Burke's cowboys were in great shape, but the Q♦10♠3♣ flop spelt danger, Bremseth picking up a wrap draw, Burke grimacing as he saw the board.
The 6♠ turn was a brick, but the 9♦ rolled off on the river to give Bremseth the pot with the straight, bust Casillas, and earn a near triple-up.
"Just lost a 300k pot with kings", Burke reported to a friend at another table, shaking his head.
