Su Back Into the Top Spot

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Edgar Asehan raised to 1,300 from under the gun and Edzel Villares called on the button. Lukasz Jankowski had not acted yet in the small blind when Christopher Su in the big blind already called. Jankowski then called and Su made it four ways to the KJ4 flop. Su bet 1,600 and was called by Asehan as well as Villares.

After the 6 turn, it was Asehan who bet 5,600 and Su check-called before they checked the Q on the river. Su tabled the K10 and his top pair won the pot. Since he had acted out of turn, he was given a one hand penalty right on his big blind.

Kim Takes From Jankowski

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Edgar Kim was the first player to limp in from under the gun and two players followed suit including Lukasz Jankowski and Marko Tabak, while Gio Gamelo in the big blind checked. They all four checked the 975 flop to the 3 turn on which Tabak bet 1,000. Two calls later, Jankowski raised to 7,000, which then only Kim called.

Both players checked the 8 on the river and Kim's Q6 won the pot.

Villares Surpasses Su

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

On the K867 turn, Christopher Su checked and then faced a bet of 3,000 by Edzel Villares. Su check-raised to 6,000 for Su to call with the latter checking the 9 on the river. Villares now made it 12,000 to go and was eventually paid off.

"Nuts," Villares declared and tabled his A4 for the ace-high flush. Su exposed his 98 for two pair before sending over the chips.

Gamelo Jams Up his Stack

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Jonard Arcilla has been eliminated for a second time and there was another all-in on the line table for this flight so far. The board showed K6356 and Ephraim Guevarra bet 7,500 into a pot of around 11,000. Gio Gamelo then pushed all-in and his stack was counted to be for 46,300 total. That was too much for Guevarra to pay and he opted to fold.

More for Guevarra and Gamelo

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Jonard Arcilla was forced out on a heads-up turn of Q423 when Ephraim Guevarra bet 8,000.

In the next hand, the turn showed K1089 with three players involved. Arcilla checked from the small blind and Gio Gamelo bet 3,700 in the next seat. Christopher Su called and Arcilla folded.

That brought along the 5 river on which Gamelo bet 9,500. Su used one time bank and then shook his head before folding.

Some More for Su

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

In a single-raised pot to the A96 flop, Christopher Su checked in the big blind and so did Edgar Asehan. The former then bet the 5 turn for 900 and Asehan folded. Both traded chips in the next hand when a limped pot went to Asehan.

While that small tussle played out, Lukasz Jankowski entered the fray and sat down next to Su with a fresh stack to bring the Day 1c field up to 10 entries and eight remaining.

Su Leads the Way Early On

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Christopher Su had been responsible for the second knockout of the day and he was among four players to limp in for a flop of A85. It checked to Edzel Villares in the big blind and he bet 1,000. Su folded while Jonard Arcilla and Gio Gamelo called.

On the J turn all three players checked and Villares then won the pot on the J river when his bet of 3,000 forced two folds.
