Ciro Koncke three-bet preflop and received two callers including Nic Ioannoy, both of which checked the 10♥9♦9♣ flop. Koncke bet 3,000 and won the pot uncontested.
Ioannoy was baiting him into showing and Koncke checked the cards near the muck again before he flashed the 10♣.
"You reraise me with a ten?" Ioannoy grinned.
"What, ace-ten suited is not good?" High Roller finalist Koncke replied.
On the river of a 10♣7♥4♠K♦K♥ board, Nicolette Ramos and Gavin Sardini checked. Bradley Moore bet 4,500 and Ramos called, after which Moore instantly gasped a "oh shit" before Sardini folded.
Ramos flashed her K♠8♠ for trips kings and won the pot, Moore mucked.
Sheldon Grove raised to 1,100 with the K♦5♦ and earned two callers in Clive Kikia with the J♦10♦ on the button as well as Beat Schlegel in the small blind who had the 2♠2♦. They checked the A♣K♥Q♠ flop and Grove bet the 7♥ turn for 2,000, Kikia raised to 4,000 and received a call.
After the 3♠ river, Grove check-called for 6,000 to pay off the nut straight.
Barend Jacobs raised to 700 and called a three-bet to 2,500 by Wesley Wiegand in the next seat.
Jacobs check-called the K♠9♥5♦ flop and did so again for 5,100 on the 3♣ turn. After the 8♠ river, Jacobs checked and Wiegand pushed all-in. After very brief consideration, Jacobs called with the 9♠9♦ for a set and Wiegand was caught with the fingers in the cookie jar holding the A♣J♦ only.
Aidan Jacobs won a healthy pot to nick chips off Cliton Taliwanth, who was then busy in a duel with Gavin Sardini and his lunch at the same time. On the river of a 8♦8♠7♣6♥9♠ board, Taliwanth opted to check behind and showed the A♣7♥. The dealer already started pushing the chips to Taliwanth while he said "well, I only really lose to a five or ten" but Sardini had not mucked the cards yet for the table to burst into laughter.
Sardini then briefly flashed his Jx7x and Taliwanth indeed won the pot.
DJH Langenveldt had chipped up but lost the profit in a heads-up pot versus Muzamil Gothey when he check-called two times and check-folded the K♦3♠2♦8♣10♥ river for 6,000.
"I just won a jackpot, so I either gonna double up or buy back in," Rudolf Fourie declared when he arrived at the same table while the hand played out.
