Four ways to the J♥5♣4♣ flop, Sheldon Grove bet 7,500 when checked to and was called only by Hennie Appel on the button. They checked the 9♦ turn and Grove led the 10♥ river for 11,000. Appel raised to 30,500 and won the pot uncontested.

Wesley Blom had won another big pot with a "bluff catcher" and then faced the open raise to 6,000 by Melissa Kalil, which he three-bet to 15,000. Quintin Heather-Clark four-bet jammed out of the big blind for 54,500 and Kalil reluctantly folded, Blom snap-called.

Kalil sighed on the 9♣4♠2♣ as she flashed her mucked 9♠9♦ that would have hit top set. Heather-Clark turned a set with the 8♦ to notch up the double before a meaningless K♠ came on the river.

One table over, her brother Gareth Kalil won a pot without showdown when a second barrel for 26,000 on the J♥9♠2♥8♦10♥ river was enough to force out Caleb October.

Blom Strikes Again; Knocks Out Hadjipaschali

Wesley Blom celebrated once more and this time it was a knockout, as he claimed the chips of table neighbour Dimitri Hadjipaschali. The latter had flopped trips kings with K♠Q♦ but Blom rivered a full house with the A♠A♦ on a board of K♥K♦4♠J♠A♣.

As he loudly declared the seat open for the floor to notice, there was another all-in one table over. The flop showed 6♣5♠4♠ and Cliton Taliwanth had jammed his short stack. Derrick Steenkamp was still to act and Taliwanth gritted his teeth to the announcement of Blom.

Ultimately, no call followed and Taliwanth raked in the pot with a big grin, he even flashed the 8♠.
