A large pot of around 55,000 was brewing to the 10♦9♦5♦3♣J♥ river on which Stephen Courtney pushed all-in from the big blind. Brad Kibel had around 20,000 behind on the button and went into the tank, using two time bank extensions while talking through possible hand combinations.

Ultimately, Kibel called and was shown the A♦6♦ for the nut flush by Courtney. He tossed his 10♠10♣ in disgust to the muck before heading out of the tournament area.

Joining the action on the Q♥4♥2♣4♣ turn, Sugen Singh checked out of the small blind. Russel Wheatley bet 3,000 on the button only for Singh to make it 10,000 to go. Wheatley used one time bank extension and then folded.

"I was hoping you had a queen, I had ace-queen," Singh mentioned in the table chat. Wheatley had around 30,000 chips left after the hand but was eliminated by Howard Lipman soon after that at the end of the level.

With four active players and Sugen Singh all-in out of the big blind without having looked at his cards, the flop showed 5♥5♦5♣. The button bet 3,000 and received two callers including Okkie Fourie, who had taken all but the last few chips of Singh before the break.

On the J♥ turn, it checked to Fourie and his bet of 6,000 isolated.

Kushil Shah limp-called a raise to 2,000 by Nick Sissou and then led the 10♦5♥2♠ flop for 3,000, which Sissou called. Shah bet another 6,000 on the 7♦ turn to earn a call and fired a big bet of 15,000 on the 7♠ river.

Sissou folded and was shown the 5♠.

Down to around 20,000 - 50 big blinds at this stage - he then opted to open shove from middle position in the next hand. Jacobus de Nysschen rejammed with the biggest stack to force out everybody else.
