Much Drama About a Split Pot

Following a raise to 1,000 and a call, Tim Akinnusi in the small blind three-bet to 6,000. Alvin Pillay out of the big blind four-bet to 18,000 and Akinnusi was the only caller. On the 10♦7♠4♥ flop, Akinussi check-called for 23,000 and did so again for 50,000 on the J♠ turn after using one time bank.

Pillay checked behind the 10♣ river and Akinussi tabled the Q♥Q♠. The smirk of Pillay said it all as he rolled over his Q♦Q♣ for the split pot.

In the meanwhile, Jamie Vilela was eliminated from a nearby table.
