Pillay Loses Loads to Hoal
Level 6
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Alvin Pillay and Jonathan Hoal clashed in a hand and with words when the 9♥8♦4♠ flop saw Pillay fire a bet of 19,000 and he was then raised to more than 60,000. Pillay asked if Hoal would show and added "I always show you" before he eventually laid down his cards and flashed the 10♥10♠.
"I had a set," Hoal replied but never showed his cards.
A few minutes later, they clashed in an even bigger pot that went to showdown. On the Q♥J♥9♠10♠10♥ river, Pillay paid off a bet of 45,000 by tossing in a single T-5,000 chip with the K♥6♥. Hoal had the superior flush in A♥2♥ and claimed another big pot.
