Jayson Zulch check-called a bet of 40,000 by Adam Katz on the K♠K♥5♦2♥ turn and they both then checked the A♣ on the river.
"Did you hit your ace?" Zulch asked and Katz nodded. Zulch tabled the 10♥10♦ and then groaned when Katz flipped over his A♠4♠.
During the hand, Melika Razavi was waiting to take her seat next to Katz.
Edgar Antezana was among the two dozen late entrants for Day 2 and more than doubled up his stack rather quickly. He then check-called a bet of 30,000 on the J♣J♠6♣A♠4♣ river and was shown the 8♥7♦ for a bluff by his table neighbour on a new table. Antezana had the K♣J♦ for trips jacks to win the pot.
On the rail end of a 9♦6♣2♠K♦Q♦ board, William Henderson bet 75,000. Jubal Chetty then pushed all-in for 101,500 and Henderson reluctantly called. Chetty tabled his K♥6♥ for two pair and Henderson sent his cards into the muck before getting moved to the feature table.
Last year's runner-up Diane Walker had survived the turbo heat with a short stack and got it in for the last 23,500 to get involved in a three-way all-in, as Trevor Rees also moved in and both were looked up by Muaaz Gani with the covering stack.

Three ways to the 8♣8♦5♣ flop, Djordje Stojic bet 13,000 out of the small blind and Pierre Kitching then announced a raise to 32,000 from under the gun. Tisshik Naidoo folded and Stojic called, then checked the 5♠ on the turn that brought a second pair on the board.
Kitching pushed all-in without much hesitation and Stojic stared him down before calling all-in.

The river was the Q♥ and Kitching exclaimed "what a shit turn".
Steven Radloff added "that's a pretty fuckin badass call" towards his table neighbour Stojic.
Kitching had around 25,000 chips left and busted shortly after.
According to the screens, the overall field size has reached 273 entries and there are 140 players remaining which brought the early tally of entrants to 20 new entries.
With the turn showing Q♥2♥2♣9♦, Marko Nortje check-jammed into a bet of 25,000 by Sunelle Kirstein who folded.
"What, ace king of hearts?" Darren Kramer asked and Nortje indeed showed those cards before claiming the pot.
Hennie Appel limped in and Jared Luyt raised to 6,000, Wesley Blom called and Appel came along. They checked the J♥J♣7♦ flop and the 2♠ turn was checked by Blom in the blinds. Appel bet 7,500 and won the pot.
"Did I get away with it?" Appel smirked and raked in the pot without showing his cards.
