Hellmuth Gets There

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Fedor Holz made it 22,000 on the button and Phil Hellmuth defended his big blind.

The flop fell {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Hellmuth checked. Holz bet 26,000 and Hellmuth check-raised it up to 54,000. Holz called and Hellmuth checked dark before the turn brought the {10-Clubs}. Holz bet 80,000 and Hellmuth snap-called.

Finally, Hellmuth checked the {a-Spades} river, and when Holz bet what looked like 160,000, Hellmuth snap-called again, showing the {10-Spades}{3-Spades} flush. Holz showed, but mucked before anyone could really see what he had.

Ben Lamb raised all in for 207,000 from the cutoff and Justin Bonomo tanked for a bit from the big blind.

"I hope you have deuces," said Bonomo, before he called.

Lamb: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Bonomo: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The board came down {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, giving Lamb aces and eights to double through Bonomo.

Kuznetsov Crashes, Burns

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Timofey Kuznetsov just went from Day 1 hero to Day 2 zero in a flash.

After trending downwards all day, he finally called Jason Mercier's shove on a {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop with the {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} pair and a flush draw.

Unfortunately for Kuznetsov, Mercier was already there, holding the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flush. The {6-Hearts} turn gave Kuznetsov outs to a boat, but the {9-Spades} river only served to counterfeit his two pair. Mercier's flush won and Kuznetsov is out.

Kaverman Bluffs His Way Out

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

There was 300,000 in the pot when Byron Kaverman pushed in for 151,000 on the river of a {2-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board, heads up with Phil Hellmuth.

Hellmuth tossed in a time bank chip contemplating the call, but eventually made it, showing the {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for two pair. Kaverman got out of his chair and said his goodbyes, showing the {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Kaverman Doubles

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Byron Kaverman shoved all in from the big blind over a Phil Galfond open and Galfond snap-called.

Kaverman's {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} was dominated by Galfond's {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}, but a {9-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} run out made him Broadway.

Kaverman defied the odds to survive and take a chunk out of Galfond.

The following hand, Erik Seidel opened to 22,000 from the button. Negreanu reraised all in for 86,000 from the small blind and Seidel called.

Seidel: {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Perper Cracks Hellmuth's Aces

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Dan Perper got it in with the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and was looking like a good bet to be the next out against Phil Hellmuth's {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}.

However, a {q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop turned things around for Perper, and he held through the {2-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river to double up.
