Smith Calls Kenney Light

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Bryn Kenney opened for 7,000, and Dan Smith made it 21,000 on his left in the cutoff. Kenney called, seeing {4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop. Kenney checked and Smith bet 16,000. Kenney put in a check-raise to 44,000. Smith called, and both checked the {10-Hearts}. Kenney fired 86,000 on the {5-Spades} river.

"Why not all in?" Smith asked. He timed down and used his last time extension before putting in a call for most of his stack just before his hand was dead.

Kenney simply mucked his hand, and Smith showed {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} before dragging the pot.

Straight for Vogelsang

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a flop of {6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{A-Spades} with roughly 20,000 in the middle, Lauren Roberts checked from the cutoff and Christoph Vogelsang bet out 11,000 from the button.

Roberts check-raised to 25,000 and Vogelsang called as the {Q-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Roberts checked and Vogelsang bet out 30,000 which Roberts called as the {K-Clubs} landed on the river and she led out for 60,000.

Vogelsang thought for a few moments and then called and tabled his {J-Spades}{10-Clubs} for the nut straight.

Roberts mucked and slipped to 251,000 while Vogelsang sits on roughly 540,000 in chips.

Tsoukernik Runs Seidel Down

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Leon Tsoukernik opened for 7,000 in the cutoff and called a three-bet to 23,000 from Erik Seidel on the button. Tsoukernik checked a {9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and called 16,500. Both checked the {10-Diamonds}, and the board paired with the {10-Hearts}. Tsoukernik bet 22,000. Seidel came in raising with 77,000, and Tsoukernik called right away.

Seidel: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Tsoukernik: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Trips were a winner for the casino owner.

Robl Takes from Smith

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The action folded to Dan Smith in the hi-jack and he raised to 7,000. From the cutoff, Andrew Robl three-bet to 22,000, and once the remaining active players folded and the action returned to Smith, he called.

The flop fell {9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Smith checked to Robl who bet out 28,000 before Smith kicked his cards to the muck.

Tsoukernik Putting the Pressure On

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

From under the gun, Leon Tsoukernik bet 22,000 on a board of {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, and Sean Winter called. Tsoukernik bet 33,000 more on the {4-Diamonds} river. Winter timed down long enough to fork over two extension plaques before deciding on a fold.

Berkey Had the Blocker

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Dan Smith bet 38,000 from the big blind on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, and Matt Berkey called in middle position. On the {4-Diamonds} turn, Smith shoved all in. Berkey thought only briefly and then folded.

Negreanu's Flush Good

Level 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jason Les bet what looked like 13,000 on a {2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop after both Daniel Negreanu (big blind) and Tony Guoga (middle position) checked. Only Negreanu called. The Canadian star then check-called 28,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn, and both checked the {a-Diamonds} river. Negreanu showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a flush. Les made a sound of disgust and mucked.

"I thought I might have the best hand," Negreanu said. "By the sound of that, I guess not."

Kaverman Eclipses One Million Chips at Kurganov's Expense

Level 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

With roughly 70,000 in the middle and the board reading {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, Byron Kaverman bet out 40,000 from the small blind.

The action was on Igor Kurganov from under the gun, and he raised to 120,000.

Kaverman pushed out a stack of chips amounting to a three-bet of 355,000 to effectively put Kurganov all in.

Kurganov would proceed to use two time extension buttons before eventually calling all-in for his 250,000 total.

Kaverman tabled {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a rivered straight as Kurganov tabled his {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

With Kurganov heading to the rail, Kaverman becomes the first player to exceed the one million chip mark.

Bill Perkins
Bill Perkins

Bill Perkins was able to survive a couple of all ins, but he got in one flip too many when he stuck his 44,500 in on the button with {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Rainer Kempe woke up with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. The board ran out {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Perkins headed for the exits.
