Dmitrijs Kornevs Eliminated in 16th Place (€2,410)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Dmitrijs Kornevs
Dmitrijs Kornevs

Dmitrijs Kornevs jammed the first hand after the redraw with {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and was called by Tapio Vihakas {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Both players flopped a pair on the {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop but Kornevs needed a bit of help to survive. Neither the {3-Spades} on the turn nor the {2-Clubs} on the river were able to help and the Latvian was eliminated in 16th place for €2,410.

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Peter Warfvinge
Peter Warfvinge

Peter Warfvinge jammed with {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} from late position and was called by Mathias Siljander with {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} from late position.

The {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop was a good one for Warfvinge but he was drawing to just two outs to survive after the {a-Hearts} paired Siljander on the turn. Warfvinge was eliminated in 15th place for €2,410 after the {7-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Andres Loiv
Andres Loiv

Andres Loiv three-bet jammed with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for about 20 big blinds and Toomas Polli made the call with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

Loiv paired the {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Spades} flop but was unable to further improve from there with the {6-Diamonds} on the turn and the {9-Diamonds} on the river completing the board.

Loiv was able to ladder up as his 14th place finish was worth €2,830. In addition, Loiv won the last longer contest and will head to the Battle of Malta with a free €555 Main Event ticket.

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jari Lahtinen
Jari Lahtinen

Eliminations are happening at a fast and furious pace since the redraw. Jari Lahtinen was the latest to hit the rail against Tapio Vihakas.

Lahtinen three-bet jammed with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for about 20 big blinds and was called by Vihakas with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. The {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop gave Vihakas a set and Lahtinen was drawing dead after the {6-Spades} came on the turn and the {9-Diamonds} came on the river.

Jablonskis Doubles

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Algimantas Jablonskis doubled his short stack. Mathias Siljander opened for 20,000 from the button and Jablonskis jammed from the small blind for six big blinds.

"I have to call," said Siljander. "Good luck!"

Algimantas Jablonskis: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Mathias Siljander: {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} board was a safe one for Jablonskis, who still has the shortest stack after the double.
