Abel Pruchon, who had dominated much of the early stages of the final table, opened to 800,000 from the button, and was faced with a three-bet to 2,300,000 from Jonathan Bonnin in the big blind.

After some thought, Pruchon four-bet jammed for 8,225,000 and Bonnin made the quick call.

The 6♦ turn gave him an additional straight draw, but the 4♦ river was a brick and Mallory tapped the table and said his goodbyes.

With the exit of Belgian Frere, the final table is now an all-French affair. The rest of the table will not have been pleased that it was again Pruchon that claimed the Belgian's knockout.

In a cooler Pruchon had run ace-king into Yau's aces, who looked good for a big double-up.

However the flop came K♥K♦2♦ to dramatically propel Pruchon into the lead with trip kings, and the 5♠ turn and J♥ river confirmed Yau's exit on the final table bubble in brutal fashion.
