Franck Yau opened to 300,000 in the cutoff and was faced with a three-bet to 850,000 by Abel Pruchon on the button.

Yau four-bet to 1,550,000, Pruchon moved all in with the covering stack, and Yau called off for his total stack of 5,650,000.

In a cooler Pruchon had run ace-king into Yau's aces, who looked good for a big double-up.

However the flop came K♥K♦2♦ to dramatically propel Pruchon into the lead with trip kings, and the 5♠ turn and J♥ river confirmed Yau's exit on the final table bubble in brutal fashion.

Mohamed Iche opened to 250,000 in early position and, after using two time banks, Sergio Pinto Teixeira defended his big blind.

On the Q♦6♥4♠ flop, Teixeira led out with a bet of 350,000. Iche called.

The 4♣ rolled off on the turn, and Teixeira continued with the aggression, firing out a bet of 550,000. Iche called again.

The A♦ completed the board, and Teixeira was not deterred, despite it greatly favouring his opponent's range. Teixeira slid out a bet of 900,000, and after about two minutes thought, Iche called.

Teixeira let out what was presumably a French swear word before turning over 7♣3♣ for the missed straight draw, while Iche had J♠J♣ for third pair jacks.
