Around 30,000 was already in the middle on a board of 7♣A♥4♠2♣.

It appeared likely Nicolas Nabet had then bet 13,000 on the turn, Marc Sen had moved all in for 31,000 and Mohammed Aissani had called Sen's all-in, with the decision on Nabet. Nabet thought it through for a while before calling.

The 10♠ rolled off on the river to complete the board and both active players quickly checked.

Sen showed A♦10♦ for the rivered two pair, causing Nabet to chuck his A♠Q♥ on the table in disgust. Aissani showed A♣5♣ for a worse ace than both of his opponents, although he had plenty of draws on the turn.

Seeing Aissani's cards only seemed to annoy Nabet further, who was muttering to himself and cursing his misfortune for some time after his opponent raked in the pot.

Someone at the table remarked Sen was "bullet proof".

Weber Spikes River to Bust Berdaga

Vitalie Berdaga opened to 2,100 from early position and was called by an opponent, before facing a three-bet to 9,200 by Jean Weber on the button. Only Berdaga called.

On the J♠8♠10♥ flop, Berdaga led out with a bet of 10,000. Weber pondered the spot for a moment, before moving all in for around 30,000. Berdaga made the quick call to put himself at risk.

Berdaga was ahead with two pair versus Weber's overpair kings, and seemed set for the double-up after the 9♥ turn.

However the K♥ rolled off on the river to give Weber a set of kings, and on confirming he was covered, Berdaga said his goodbyes to the table and departed.

Gold-Dalg Makes Superb Fold

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Around 20,000 was in the middle on a board of 4♦9♣K♦2♦ in a hand between Axel Gold-Dalg, playing with his brother as an assistant for eyesight issues, and Laurent Herledan.

Herledan checked to Gold-Dalg, who slid out a bet of 11,000. Hereldan responded with a check-jam for 43,500, almost precisely the same stack as his opponent, sending Gold-Dalg deep into the tank.

Gold-Dalg looked pained at times as he pondered his decision for around five minutes, puffing his cheeks and counting his chips. With the tension building, Gold-Dalg smiled and said "Now I would really like my eyes", sending the entire table into raptures.

After a couple more minutes, a table mate asked Gold-Dalg if the clock would help him make a decision, and Gold-Dalg confirmed it probably would.

The clock was called, and with about ten seconds remaining, Gold-Dalg announced fold while turning over K♣K♥ for top set.

Herledan was astounded and turned over 5♦6♦ for the turned flush, with the entire table sending Gold-Dalg their congratulations for a superb fold, including Hereledan.

Lilamand Gets Unlucky Versus Elbaz

Pascal Elbaz moved all in for 18,000 from middle position and was called by Thomas Lilamand, with Elbaz at risk.

Elbaz looked to be heading for the exit after running into Lilamand's pocket kings, but Lilamand threw his hands in the air in disgust as the A♦ flashed in the window on the A♦2♣6♦ flop to put Elbaz ahead.

Lilamand was now drawing to two outs, although the 2♦ turn brought him some additional hope with the diamond draw.

That may have simply increased his frustration at the outcome following the Q♥ river, as Lilamand smacked the table as the pot was sent to Elbaz.

Lilamand open-jammed the next hand for 19,000 and got it through.

El Bakkouri Doubles via Fraysse

Around 22,000 was already in the middle on a board of K♦6♠3♣Q♠ and Mohamed El Bakkouri had checked to Yannick Fraysse.

Fraysse slid out a bet of 8,000, only to be met with a check-jam for 34,800 from his opponent. After some thought, Fraysse called to put El Bakkouri at risk.

El Bakkouri had turned top two pair versus Fraysse's flopped top pair top kicker, and only needed to fade an ace on the river for the double-up.

The three-day €2,400 WSOP-C Paris High Roller ring event came to an end last night, here at Stade-Jean Bouin.

Out of 110 entrants, 15 players were back on Day 2 which generated a total prize pool of €221,760. And after a two-and-a-half-hour heads-up, Alexandre Correia was crowned as the winner for €54,000, patiently triumphed over Frédéric Blehaut (€36,000).

Santoni Allows Hand to Go Dead in Huge Pot

There was already 16,000 in the middle, 80 big blinds, on a completed board of
2♠8♣7♣4♣4♦ in a hand between Axel Santoni in the big blind and Nicolas Copit in early position.

Santoni put out a bet of 7,500, only to be faced with a raise to 22,000 by Copit. Santoni went deep into the tank, pondering the spot.

After a few minutes, tablemate Maximilien Scher called the clock. The tournament director confirmed with the dealer sufficient time had passed, pointing out to Scher this was a huge pot in the first level, and after some discussion it was confirmed the clock was active.

Santoni, with a completely calm look on his face, let the clock get down all the way to zero, with his hand declared dead and mucked by the dealer, Santoni barely flinching and allowing Copit to scoop a monster early pot.
