Burgniard Busts Tian; Bahri Also Exits

Cards were on their backs and Mengshi Tian was getting up from the table, his 6♣4♣ losing out to Adrien Burgniard's A♥7♦ on A♣7♣10♦2♠9♠, with the money presumably going in on the flop after Tian flopped a flush draw and Burgniard hit two pair.

Burgniard now moves aboves the three million mark.

At the same time Yannice Bahri was seen leaving the tournament area, meaning we are now down to 32 and a four-table redraw. There will be a short break while the redraw takes place.

Around 225,000 was in the middle in a hand between Mikael Ifergan in middle position, the player in the small blind and David Hu in the big blind.

Ifergan continued with a bet of 65,000, which only Hu called.

The 2♦ turn paired the board, and Hu changed approach, leading out with a bet of 80,000. Ifergan called.

On the K♦ river, Hu moved all in with the covering stack, putting maximum pressure on his opponent. Ifergan thought it through for quite some time before folding, leaving himself 575,000 behind.

On a flop of 9♠3♣K♠, Valentin Havasy bet 115,000 from the cutoff. He was called by Samy Barka on the button, but Olivier Armougon from the big blind check-raised 450,000. Havasy folded and Barka made the call.

Both players checked the K♦ turn, leading to the 4♠ river where Armougon bet 615,000.

Barka went into the tank. "It's the worst card river" he said to the dealer, adding had he probably had to call. He eventually did so, but ran into Armougon's full house with 9♦9♥. Barka revealed the A♠.

Picking the action up on a board of A♣2♣Q♦8♦ in a hand between Yannice Bahri in the cutoff and Clement Delacroix in the big blind, Delacroix checked to his opponent, with around 225,000 in the pot.

Bahri slid out a bet of 100,000, and after some thought, Delacroix check-jammed for around 375,000. Bahri thought it through for quite some time, but eventually folded, showing A♦ as he did so. Delacroix flashed the 5♦ and raked in the pot.

"There was an open to 65,000, called by the small blind and I called from the big blind with Q♦J♦," he explained. "On a flop of Qx8x9x, the initial raiser continued for 85,000, I check-raised all-in for 295,000, and he called with 10x10x. He hit a straight with the Jx river."
