Top Two Pair No Good for Kyte

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

There were three big stacks at Table 59 to start the day in Jon Kyte, Dushko Bogoevski, and Timothy Harold. Now there are only two after two of the big stacks collided.

Bogoevski recapped the hand for PokerNews.

Jon Kyte opened from early position and Bogoevski defended his big blind. Bogoevski check-called both on the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-} flop and the blank turn before checking again on the {k-Clubs} river. Kyte jams and Bogoevski called.

Bogoevski turned over {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for the rivered flush to oust Kyte who held top two pair with {k-}{q-}.

Kyte re-entered after the hand.

The Festival Series Commentator Sandford Doubles

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The Festival Series might have to find a new commentator for the Main Event if things go well for George Sandford the next two days. He lost his short stack early on Day 2 but is off to a good start with his re-entry.

Sandford opened to 3,500 from early position and was called by Jiri Horacek from the button.

Both players checked the {j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Spades} flop. Sandford led out for 5,400 after the {q-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and got a call. The {10-Spades} river completed the board and Sandford jammed for 21,100. Horacek went into the clock for several minutes before he made the call.

Sandford turned over {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} to double up after Horacek tossed his hand into the muck.

Hegely Doubles through Jancso

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Robin Hegele jammed for 32,800 from the small blind and was called by Mihaly Jancso from the big blind.

Robin Hegele: {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Mihaly Jancso: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}

There was a bit of confusion after the {7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} board as the dealer nearly awarded Jancso the pot.

"Flush," Hegele pointed out.

The dealer quickly confirmed that this was correct and Hegele doubled through Jancso.

Persson Ousts Nikolic

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Simon Persson opened for 3,300 from middle position before he called a jam for around 10,000 by Hristina Nikolic from the button.

Hristina Nikolic: {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Simon Persson: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Nikolic was behind but things went from bad to worse after Persson paired his eight on the {8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop. Nikolic was drawing dead after the {4-Clubs} turn paired the board and got up from her seat after the {j-Clubs} river completed the board.
