Welcome to Day 1B of the GGPoker United Kingdom Poker Championship Main Event here in Nottingham at Dusk Till Dawn poker club.
Cards go in the air from 12 p.m. local time as players will be hoping to join the 32 survivors from yesterday along with the survivors from the online flights. This tournament offers a huge £500,000 prizepool guarantee and players will start with 200,000 chips.
Blinds will start at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante and blinds will increase every 30-minutes. Late Registration will remain open until Level 9 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Players will also be given five 20-second time bank cards at the start of the day. Players are allowed one reentry per flight.
Leslie Packer bagged biggest at the end of Day 1a as he doubled up with a full house in the last level of the day to end with 4,455,000 chips. In the online flight poker professional Andrew Wilson also bagged big with 3,384,380 chips respectively followed by a sixth place finish in yesterday's £1,100 UKPC High Roller for £7,500.
Be sure to be on the lookout as GG ambassadors Niall Farrell and Lukas Robinson will be leading their respective teams of freeroll qualifiers.
Play will continue until 15% of the field remain, in which those who survive will secure a place on Day 2 and will be in the money. Stay tuned to PokerNews to follow all the action until a winner is crowned on Monday 16th January.

Online freeroll qualifier and member of Team Robin, Phil Toogood was in action. He raised to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Stephen Hay in the hijack and Mason Lloyd on the button. Eugen Margarit came along in the big blind.
The flop came and Margarit led for 2,500 before Toogood raised to 10,000. Only Margarit called.

The river was the and Margarit bet 7,500. Toogood pondered before making the call. Margarit turned over for top pair but he was outkicked by Toogood who turned over to take down the pot.

The flop came and action checked to Matthew Veall ,who was under the gun, who bet 3,000. Georgian Georgescu and Mark Bamber called in the blinds.
