It was an action-packed day as the final Day 1 flight attracted 428 runners. Action of the Day

The day started with a packed room as many players were eager to take advantage of their final chance to make it to Day 2 of the UKPC Main Event. The day started well for Lee French who managed to river a set of queens against Christopher Johnson's ace-queen. French was able to ride along with the early momentum to secure a bag for Day 2.

Midway through the day late registration closed and the final prize pool was announced. The tournament managed to surpass the £500,000 guarantee as a total of 1,148 entrants generated a prize pool of £556,780 including a first-place prize of £95,000.

Ashley Harrison managed to eliminate Brandon Sheils before late registration closed as Sheils called for his tournament life with two pair against Harrison's flush. Sheild reentered but didn't manage to make it to the end of the day.

Harrison was one of the biggest stacks in the room but lost a significant part of his stack when he tried to bluff Chris Da Silva. It was ill-timed by Harrison as Da Silva called down with aces to double up through Harrison.

Action slowed as the bubble approached but eventually burst to end the day. Jonathan Hanley would be the unlucky bubble boy as his ace-eight couldn't defeat Ashley Timms's pocket nines. Timms flopped a set to ensure Hanley's elimination as the day's proceedings came to a close.
