Afriat Folds Aces Face Up

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Eric Afriat
Eric Afriat

Eric Afriat raised to 250,000 from the button and Alain Bauer three-bet from the big blind. Afriat then four-bet, which Bauer called.

The flop came a dry {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Afriat bet 1,000,000 after Bauer had checked. The latter then check-raised all in, which was a huge shove as the two big stacks were clashing while Steven Rivero, the short stack, was still alive. Afriat would have to put his whole stack in the middle to call.

He went into the tank and thought it out while Bauer put in some eye drops and drank green health juice. Eventually, Afriat folded the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} face up.

Bauer then showed the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for the bluff as he scooped the pot.
