Ansari Spikes Some Paint

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Kamyar Ansari limped from under the gun and just two on his left was Anthony Russo who raised to 4,100. The action folded back around to Ansari and he quickly called, bringing down an {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Russo continued after his adversary checked, betting 2,000 and Ansari called. The action then checked through having a {10-Hearts}{q-Spades} runout fill the board.

Ansari tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for a pair of ladies and Russo chucked his hand.

Niyati Respectively Declines

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Nir Cohen
Nir Cohen

Pejman Niyati raised to 2,200 from middle position and Nir Cohen was on the small blind when he called. The dealer fanned {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} out on the felt. Cohen tapped the table and Niyati bet 2,000.

Cohen took a brief moment but then check-raised to 5,100. A call by Niyati brought down the {j-Diamonds} and both checked through to the {4-Diamonds}.

On the river, Cohen bet 6,800 and Niyati respectively declined, tossing his cards into the muck and Cohen pulled in the pot.

Le Manages to Peel Some Luck

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Barbara Sargent
Barbara Sargent

Barbara Sargent was faced with a three-bet by Dien Le and she elected to four-bet shove. Le called for slightly less, having 65,500 and the cards were turned.

Barbara Sargent: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Dien Le: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Sargent took her dominating lead into a {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and looked as if she would send Le home. The unlikely {q-Diamonds} peeled off as a turn card, flipping the narrative.

A {6-Hearts} completed the board and Le took down the hand for a full double, leaving Sargent with just two bigs.

Compton Chooses Correctly

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Mark Wong bet 8,000 on a turned {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} board. The pot as around 29,000 and John Compton was on the other side of the table. Compton elected to call and the dealer completed the board with a {10-Hearts}

Wong fired again, this time for 16,500 and Compton hit the tank. After about two minutes, Compton called and tabled {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the lower boat on board. Wong then turned over {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} for the same hand and they chopped it up.
