Just prior to the dinner break, Dominik Nitsche was seen leaving his seat with his short stack being passed to Ami Barer on his right.
Coming back from the break, only Ivan Zhang and Gary Thompson were in their seats when the cards were dealt. Zhang raised to 5,500 and Thompson three-bet to 18,000 from the small blind. Zhang four-bet shoved all in and Thompson called off his stack of around 80,000.

Zhang was currently out front but Thompson had two suited connectors with live cards. The board ran out 5♥5♣4♣8♣8♥ and Zhang's ace-high was enough to eliminate Thompson.
