Wu's Pair Holds to Leave Song Short
Level 25
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
On the feature table, the action folded to Yunkyu Song on the button who raised to 100,000 with a couple of shorter stacks in the blinds. Xuecong Wu was in the big blind with 145,000 and reraised all in, followed by a call from Song.
Yunkyu Song: K♣5♣
Xuecong Wu: A♦J♥
The flop came Q♠J♦10♣ to give Wu the lone pair but Song picked up an open-ended straight draw. The 7♠ on the turn was a brick and the 3♠ on the river also provided no help for Song who passed over a double-up.
