Sedlak Gets Short and Doubles
Level 27
: 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Following a flop of 8♣8♠7♠, Martin Sedlak checked and Stephen Song bet 25,000. Sedlak check-raised to 70,000 and then quickly folded when Song jammed with the covering stack.
"Nut flush draw, easy decision," Song said and Sedlak replied "you were ahead."
"I had ace five of spades and decided to see the flop," Song added.
One hand later, Sedlak open-shoved for the last 135,000 in an early position and Nevan Chang called in the next seat while everyone else folded.
Martin Sedlak: Q♦Q♥
Nevan Chang: K♣Q♣
The 7♥7♠5♠A♠9♦ board delivered no clubs or kings for Sedlak to survive.
