Schoreck Battling

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Shawn Schoreck has found a notable foe early on to his right. First, the two battled in the blinds with the player in the small blind making it 325 to go and being called. Schoreck called 300 more on the {j-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop, then raised an 800 bet to 1,600 on the {a-Hearts} turn. The small blind called, then a {q-Diamonds} two-paired the board. Schoreck bet 2,500 when checked to. His opponent made it 6,300 to go, and Schoreck paused.

"Royal flush, huh?" he said.

Eventually, he called though, and his {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} chopped with {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

A few hands later, Schoreck raised to 800 after the same player bet into him from the cutoff on the {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop. The player called, and then called 1,050 more on the {a-Spades} turn. A {q-Clubs} hit the river, and Schoreck's opponent check-called 1,550. Schoreck showed {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a straight on the river.

"Nice hand," the player said.
