Karasoulis Outraced

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Mihail Karasoulis jammed for about 15,000 under the gun, and action folded to William Flippen, who called in the big blind.

Flippen: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Karasoulis: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The community ran out {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, no help to Karasoulis. Flippen declared eights to be his favorite pair after the hand.

Naquin Bluffs Quin

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Jacob Naquin
Jacob Naquin

Jacob Naquin bet 2,200 in the cutoff on a flop of {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and got raised to 6,400 by button Jeff Quin. Naquin called, and both players checked the {k-Hearts}. On the {5-Spades} river, Naquin again checked, and Quin bet 11,000. Naquin announced he was all in, and Quin went deep into the tank. He attempted to call the clock on himself.

"Flopped aces full, huh?" he said.

Finally, he folded a {10-Hearts} face-up.

Naquin quickly tossed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} into the middle.

"Very nice hand," Quin said.

Karasoulis Doubles

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Nguyen Over 100,000

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
My Nguyen
My Nguyen

A player limped in, and Mihail Karasoulis made it 3,000 to go from early position. My Nguyen called, as did the small blind, and the big blind shoved for 11,900. The limper folded, and Karasoulis called. Nguyen called as well, and the small blind followed. The dealer spread the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} across the felt, prompting the small blind to jam for about 20,000. Karasoulis folded, but Nguyen snap-called.

Nguyen: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Small blind: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Big blind: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Nguyen's top two was miles ahead, and the {3-Spades} and {9-Hearts} completed the board to keep him in front.

At another table, David Hebert busted out.

Chocheles Puts Karasoulis to the Test; Hebert Crippled

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
David Chocheles
David Chocheles

David Chocheles bet about 2,500 on an {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop and saw Mihail Karasoulis check-raise to 7,000 in the blinds. Chocheles called, and a {j-Clubs} hit the turn. Karasoulis bet another 7,000, and Chocheles put 18,000 in, nearly enough to put Karasoulis at risk. Karasoulis thought a couple of minutes and folded.

At another table, David Hebert lost nearly all of his stack all in with {q-}{q-} when a player binked a three-outer with {a-}{q-}.

Players are on a 10-minute break.

Wunstel Holds to Bust Maksudi

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Corrie Wunstel
Corrie Wunstel

Handri Maksudi opened for 2,500 in early position, and Corrie Wunstel made it 5,000 in the next spot. Action folded back to Maksudi, who called. Maksudi checked the {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop, and Wunstel bet 5,000. Maksudi shoved all in for about 15,000, and Wunstel called right away.

Wunstel: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Maksudi: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Maksudi had flopped top pair and a combo draw but trailed Wunstel's top-top. The {j-Spades} turn eliminated some outs for Wunstel, and a {10-Spades} river harmlessly paired the board.
