Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Jeff Grimes
Jeff Grimes

Adam Friedman said he check-raised large on a {6-}{7-}{9-}{q-} board, and Jeff Grimes shoved all in. Friedman snapped with {10-}{8-} for a flopped straight, and Grimes, who started the hand over 100,000, turned up {a-}{q-}.

"Oh, good, drawing dead," Friedman said.

"Good hand, buddy," the good-natured Grimes said before exiting.

Jimmy Eastham

Jimmy Eastham pushed all in for 19,400 over a 4,000 open from Adam Friedman, and Jeff Grimes called in the blinds. Friedman folded.

Eastham: {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Grimes: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Grimes flopped his opponent nearly dead on {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and the {3-Spades} turn wrapped things up.

At the other table, Daniel Holmes busted.

Holmes bet 7,000, and Simoneaux made it what looked like 27,000. Holmes quickly folded, and his neighbor showed {3-Spades}.

Creel Rockets to 95,000

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player bet 2,700 on a {4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, and Brandon Creel shoved all in with {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Unfortunately for him, Debbie Irvin had {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} behind him and made the call with her combo draw, while the bettor folded. Creel was able to run a straight with {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} on the last two streets to survive.

A few hands later, he won another all-in pot, this time from way ahead as he picked up {a-}{a-} against another player's {k-}{k-}.
