"I Hope You Win!"

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
John Morgan
John Morgan

John Morgan pushed all in for about 20,000, and Tony Hartmann shoved in the next spot for a bit more, folding out everyone else.

Morgan: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Hartmann: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

"Ah, I hope you win, Tony," Morgan said.

"I hope you win!" Hartmann replied, but it was he who kept the lead as the {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} hit the board.

"I've got plans tomorrow," Morgan declared.

He'll be able to make them, since the {10-Hearts} river didn't save him.

Barnard Isolates, Busts Harris

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Lance Harris
Lance Harris

Lance Harris shoved his last 12,500 from middle position and was called by the player on his left. Joe Barnard reshipped from the button for 29,500, and the player who called laid down after a couple of minutes of thought.

Barnard: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Harris: {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Harris had live cards, but the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop left him drawing about as thin as possible. A {9-Clubs} hit the turn to put an end to Harris, who never seemed to be much above the starting stack.

"Same Old Liu"

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Peixin Liu
Peixin Liu

A multi-way pot saw a board of {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, and the small blind checked. Muneer Ahmed bet 4,500, Matt Kirby folded, and Peixin Liu called on the button. The small blind folded, and the river came an {8-Spades}. Ahmed checked, and Liu bet 10,000. Ahmed called after about 30 seconds.

"You were ahead," Liu said, turning over {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, knowing he had gotten there on the river.

"I don't know why you always chase like that," Ahmed said, shaking his head. "Same old Liu."

Jim Boone's comeback was short-lived, as he said he ran {q-}{q-} into {a-}{k-} and his opponent hit a king. Mike Lang, Nick Kost, and Steve Belland also hit the rail.

Boone Gets New Life

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

A player limped in from an early position and then Rob Wazwaz made it about 5,000 to go. Steve Lillehaug shoved all in on the button with a short stack, and Jim Boone did likewise in the small blind. The limper shoved as well, and Wazwaz folded {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} face-up.

Lillehaug: {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Boone: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Early position: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Boone got jiggy after the {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop gave him a set, and the {5-Hearts} and {7-Spades} kept him best with a boat. "Three-finger" Jim collected the sizable pot and announced he was on the comeback.
