Harris Takes a Hit

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Lance Harris opened for 3,400 in middle position, and two spots behind him, Michael Campbell three-bet to 13,500. Harris came back with 33,400, and Campbell shoved for 65,400 total. Harris called.

Harris: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Campbell: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The players were racing, and Campbell took a firm grip on the pot when the flop came {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, giving him a set. A {9-Spades} turn meant Harris was drawing dead, and Campbell doubled through.

Wahdan Busts Another

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The small blind bet out 12,500 on a {j-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, and Nader Wahdan called from early position. On the button, a third player raised to 40,000, knocking the small blind out. Wahdan moved all in, and his opponent called off his 102,100 stack.

Wahdan: {j-Spades}{8-Spades}
Button: {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Wahdan had flopped bottom two, but his opponent had outs with top pair and a gutter. Neither the {4-Hearts} nor the {2-Hearts} helped him, however, and Wahdan dragged another big pot.

Matt Alexander got lucky against Blake Bohn.
Matt Alexander got lucky against Blake Bohn.

Matt Alexander got his short stack all in against neighbor Blake Bohn.

Bohn: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Alexander: {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

No waiting, as they say: a {5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop left Bohn with two outs, which he didn't find on the {10-Hearts} turn or {7-Hearts} river.

"I don't even want to play poker any more," Bohn said.

Kou Vang's third barrel was for all of his chips.
Kou Vang's third barrel was for all of his chips.

Kou Vang opened for 3,400 in middle position and only the button called. Vang's continuation-bet was 3,900 after the {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop. His opponent made the call and saw a turn of {8-Spades}. Vang fired again, this time for 8,100, and he was quickly called once more. The river brought a {j-Hearts}, and Vang pushed all in for 22,000. His opponent thought for about 30 seconds before giving up his hand.

Gallegos Rivers Hudson

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Adam Hudson saw an unlucky river.
Adam Hudson saw an unlucky river.

Three players checked a {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, and Adam Hudson bet 10,000 on a {q-Clubs} turn after one check. Brian Gallegos called on the button, and the small blind folded. An {a-Spades} hit the river, and Hudson bet 15,000. Gallegos tossed all of his chips in, a raise of 13,400.

"I call," Hudson said. "I have a seven."

He showed {7-}{5-} for trips, but Gallegos had rivered a flush with {10-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Player Goes on Tirade Against Bohn, Gets Penalty

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Blake Bohn
Blake Bohn

According to Blake Bohn, he shoved for about 13,000 after a raise and then a reraise to 6,000. The original raiser folded and the reraiser began thinking. Bohn said he told the player he couldn't fold, and the player got cross with him. Finally, he called with {8-}{8-} and busted Bohn.

After the hand, Bohn said, the player went on a tirade, yelling a string of expletives at Bohn while saying it was worth the penalty. Bohn claimed he had no idea what the source of the player's anger was.

"Normally, I could see how I might rub a guy the wrong way," Bohn said. "But I didn't say anything to this guy!"

York Ships Huge Pot

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

We found Colin York with a raise to 40,000 in front of him on a board of {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}. The player in the small blind had bet out 15,000, and he was now tanking. Finally, he pushed all of his chips into the middle, a raise of about 40,000 more. York called instantly.

York: {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Small blind: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}

"Ace or a four," the small blind called, knowing he needed to fill up against York's broadway straight. He didn't get his wish on the {7-Spades} river, and York collected one of the biggest pots we've seen.
