Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Marty Rahbusch - 5th Place
Marty Rahbusch - 5th Place

Marty Rahbusch just bowed out in fifth with {k-}{q-} on a board of {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} against the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} of Jason Robertson.

Herb Laney Eliminated in 6th Place ($9,748)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Herb Laney - 6th Place
Herb Laney - 6th Place

Herb Laney opened for 40,000 on the button, and Blake Bohn shoved all in from the small blind. Laney snap-called, except the big blind had yet to act. Jeff Bryan opted to fold though.

Laney: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Bohn: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

"I've been in this spot a time or two," Bohn said as the first four cards came {5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. "I suck at it."

Bohn may have been referencing an identical preflop all in from this summer's World Series of Poker, when he lost most of a massive stack and eventually busted ninth.

This time, he spiked the {k-Diamonds} on the river to score the elimination, though.

Bohn Pushes Robertson Out

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jason Robertson made it 40,000 on the button, and Blake Bohn three-bet to 120,000 in the big blind. Robertson came along, and both checked the flop, leading to a board of {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Bohn bet 119,000, and Robertson quickly mucked.

Laney Doubles Through Robertson

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jason Robertson opened to 40,000 under the gun and got shoved on by Herb Laney, who had 151,000. Steve Belland considered for a couple of minutes in the blinds before folding, and Robertson called.

Robertson: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Laney: {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

The flop wasn't a great one for Robertson: {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, giving Laney a pair and two backdoor draws. A {5-Spades} meant a possible wheel loomed, and the {4-Clubs} did the deed on the river.

Robertson Doubles Through Laney

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Jason Robertson opened for a raise in the small blind, and Herb Laney shoved all in from the big. Robertson called with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, and he was ahead of Laney's {q-}{j-}. The {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop brought something for each: a straight draw for Laney and top pair for Robertson. The {4-Spades} turn and {j-Spades} river were clean for Robertson, who is now pushing 1 million, while Laney's down to a handful of big blinds.

Phil Mader Eliminated in 7th Place ($7,798)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Phil Mader - 7th Place
Phil Mader - 7th Place

Phil Mader opened to 40,000 in middle position and was called by only Blake Bohn on the button. Mader continuation-bet 35,000 on the {6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop, and Bohn made the call. Mader fired another 60,000 on the {k-Diamonds} turn, and Bohn called once more. On the {7-Diamonds} river, Mader bet 105,000, and Bohn put him all in for about 90,000 more. Mader quickly called and was shown the bad news: {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a backdoor flush.

"Really?" Mader said with a slight smile, showing {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for top set on the flop.

The unlucky run out meant the Nebraska is done in seventh.

Steve Pint Eliminated in 8th Place ($5,849)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Steve Pint - 8th Place
Steve Pint - 8th Place

Steve Belland opened for 100,000, and Steve Pint called off his stack on the button for about 85,000.

Belland: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Pint: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out in Belland's favor: {3-Spades}{q-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and he scored the knockout despite being dominated.

Bohn Mystified

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Blake Bohn opened for 36,000 under the gun and was called in two spots. On the {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop, he bet 40,000 and was called by Marty Rahbusch. Bohn checked the {4-Spades} turn, and Rahbusch shoved for about 400,000.

"Four hundred thousand?" Bohn wondered aloud. "With 170,000 in the pot..."

He folded after some thought, and Rahbusch showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

"You didn't want any more money in that pot?" Bohn said.

"That's all I wanted," Rahbusch replied. "I didn't want you to keep drawing."

"Could You Ever Be Bluffing Here?"

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Herb Laney raised to 45,000 on the button, and Blake Bohn made it 108,000 in the small blind. Laney announced a call.

"Is that legal?" Bohn joked. "I thought there was some kind of rule where if it was over 100,000 you couldn't just call."

"Voted out in the last legislation," Steve Pint said.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}, and Bohn checked. Laney shoved all in, and Bohn asked for a count. The total was 218,000.

"Could you ever be bluffing?" Bohn wondered aloud. "Ever?"

He thought for about a minute before pushing a call in.

Bohn: {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Laney: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

"The only hand I was worried about," Bohn said.

Laney turned him dead with the {k-Clubs}.
