Gutfreund Bubbles Final Table

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
David Gutfreund - 11th Place
David Gutfreund - 11th Place

Action folded to Nik Stone, who shoved all in for 278,000 in the small blind. David Gutfreund went into the tank for a couple of minutes in the big blind before announcing a call. Stone tabled {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

"F***!" Gutfreund yelled. He flopped {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a dominated hand.

Stone's kicker stayed best on the {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, but a {3-Clubs} turn gave Gutfreund a flush draw. Stone pumped his fist after the dealer burned and turned the {2-Diamonds}, leaving his king-eight good.

A few hands later, Jason Sell opened for 66,000 and Gutfreund jammed in the big blind for about 160,000. Sell called.

Sell: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Gutfreund: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Gutfreund got great news on the {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop: he had a flush draw, closing one of Sell's outs. The {q-Diamonds} hit the turn though.

"Wow," Gutfreund said.

A {3-Diamonds} river didn't help him, and he busted in 11th.

Jefferson Gets it to Final Table Bubble

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jim Moellendorf - 12th Place
Jim Moellendorf - 12th Place

Ryan Jefferson opened for 50,000 under the gun, and Jim Moellendorf in the big blind was the only caller. After an {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Spades} flop, Moellendorf shoved for a couple hundred thousand or so and Jefferson snap-called.

Jefferson: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Moellendorf: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

It's never easy, as they say, and an {a-Diamonds} hit the turn to give Moellendorf trips and keep him drawing live. A {j-Diamonds} river was a brick though, and Jefferson's boat held.
