Auker Rivers Nuts

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Ken Auker
Ken Auker

Ken Auker just doubled through Don Herr II with {a-Spades}{8-Spades} on a board of {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. Herr II's hand was already in the muck when we got to the table, and Auker received 160,000 from his opponent.

The next hand, Ken Rosheisen shoved all in under the gun for 94,000, and Herr II shipped as well for about 74,000. Everyone else folded. Rosheisen had just {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} but it was ahead of Herr II's {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. Neither player improved on the community cards, and Rosheisen took the pot with king-high.

Lang Nearing 1 Million After Busting Roberts

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We found Reginald Roberts getting it all in preflop for about 160,000 against Mike Lang.

Lang: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Roberts: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, and Lang collected still more chips.

Players are on break for 10 minutes.

Lucky Lang Bounces Pupillo

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Nick Pupillo got unlucky on the turn.
Nick Pupillo got unlucky on the turn.

Nick Pupillo had a bet of 20,000 in front of him on a {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop, which had been raised to 40,000 by Mike Lang on the button. Pupillo jammed for about 140,000, and Lang made the call after briefly thinking.

Pupillo: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Lang: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Lang's overs weren't live, as he could only hit a king for the lead, and he did just that on the {k-Spades} turn, causing Pupillo to lean back in disgust. The {8-Diamonds} river was no help to Pupillo, and he could only mutter to himself about the beat as he exited.

At another table, David Gutfreund busted Steve Vang.

Muller Doubles Through Roberts

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Reginald Roberts opened for a raise and then called the shove of Amy Muller, who had just 63,000.

Roberts: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Muller: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The {7-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop gave Muller a big lead, but a {j-Hearts} turn meant there were more cards to sweat as Roberts picked up a pair with his gutshot. The {3-Spades} river was a blank.

Muller is the last woman remaining in the field.

Straight Cash, Homie

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Jeremy Dresch broke the bubble.
Jeremy Dresch broke the bubble.

A player on the button shoved in for about 40,000, and Jeremy Dresch called from the big blind.

Dresch: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Button: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

"At least you have the club blocker," Dresch said, pointing at his opponent's {j-Clubs}.

The blocker was needed after the flop came {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. While a {9-Diamonds} turn was safe for Dresch's opponent, the {3-Clubs} river filled Dresch's flush draw and meant the remaining players will all be paid.

Breyfogle Gets Lucky

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Todd Breyfogle
Todd Breyfogle

Todd Breyfogle shoved all in for 160,000 from the small blind into a bloated pot on a {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop. His opponent on the button tanked for a bit, stacked the requisite chips, and announced a call.

Breyfogle: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Button: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

Breyfogle had been outflopped, and the {5-Diamonds} turn did nothing for him. He found one of his outs on the {k-Hearts} river though.

"The ace-king curse is over," Breyfogle said with a sigh of relief.

The tournament is now hand-for-hand.

Another Double for Bryan

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jeremy Dresch three-bet to about 35,000 from the button after Ralph Massey opened in the cutoff. Jeff Bryan jammed in for 56,000 from the blinds, and Dresch called after Massey mucked.

Dresch: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Bryan: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

It was kings once more for Bryan, and a run out of {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts} meant he was locked in to a double on the turn.
