Webb Gets the Best of Hartmann Again

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Ryan Hartmann completed his blind, and Steve Webb checked, saying he was scared of the flat-call. The flop brought {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}, and Hartmann checked. Webb bet 200,000, and Hartmann went deep into the tank.

"C'mon Craig," Webb said. "You've got me outstacked."

He repeated that a few times, and Hartmann finally announced he was all in. Webb snap-called with {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, and Hartmann showed {8-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a straight draw.

"Come on," he said. "Let me beat this guy in a pot one time. Turn him dead."

Instead, it was Webb improving with the {4-Clubs} turn, and a {j-Hearts} river preserved his two pair.

Steve Webb shoved under the gun for about 1.9 million, and Dan Hendrickson called on the button.

Hendrickson: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Webb: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

A {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was void of any paint. The {4-Diamonds} gave Webb an extra out, but the {3-Hearts} river was a blank.

Dan Hendrickson raised to 450,000 on the button, and Adam Dahlin shoved for about 2.6 million in the small blind. Hendrickson called.

Hendrickson: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Dahlin: {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Hendrickson's dominating hand held as the board rolled out {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

Hartmann Doubles Through Hendrickson

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Ryan Hartmann shoved all in for 1.87 million over a raise from Dan Hendrickson, who tanked awhile.

"Alright, let's do it," he said, calling with {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

"I knew you were light, I didn't think you'd call with that," a surprised Hartmann said, showing {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

He asked for a pair on the flop but got {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a straight, turning Hendrickson dead with the {2-Clubs}.

Ryan Hartmann Eliminated in 2nd Place ($61,301)

"DQ" Dan Hendrickson opened for 600,000 on the button, and Ryan Hartmann jammed what he said was about 3.6 million. Hendrickson decided to gamble with {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and it was a flip against Hartmann's {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

"My luckiest pair!" Hartmann exulted.

It was an unlucky flop though: {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, giving Hendrickson a pair of queens and the lead.

"Never win a title," Hartmann said with disgust. "One time, five."

It wasn't to be, as a {3-Spades} turn was followed by a {6-Spades} river. Hartmann shook Hendrickson's hand and said he was happy for him.
