Bill Rogers Takes Chip Lead

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Bill Rogers and Mike Ermie played a huge pot that made Rogers the chip leader and left Ermie under 1-million chips. Ermie raised from the button preflop to 280,000 and Rogers called. The flop came {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Rogers checked. Ermie bet 300,000 and Rogers called. The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Rogers shoved all in for 2,300,000. Ermie tanked for a while, asking Rogers if he wanted a call or not. Finally Ermie called and showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Rogers showed {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a flopped flush and wins a massive pot, putting him in the chip lead, clear of 2nd place Michael Ferrarotti by 2-million chips.

Linda Callear Eliminated in 4th place ($38,662)

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Linda Callear raised to 275,000 and Bill Rogers went all in. Callear called with {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Rogers showed {k-}{q-}. The board ran out {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Spades} and Callear was eliminated.

To date, only one woman has won an MSPT event, and Callear's effort comes up just short with a 4th place finish. Meanwhile, Rogers continues to run all over the table with two eliminations in back-to-back hands.
