Welcome to Day 1a of Mid-States Poker Tour FireKeepers Casino
One of the most successful stops in recent memory on the Mid-States Poker Tour was at FireKeepers Casino last October, where the tour drew 517 runners to the stop in Battle Creek, Mich. That tournament was won by Ryan Dykhouse for $124,500, one of the biggest prizes ever given out on the tour.
The MSPT is back for two more stops at the property this season, and today kicks off the first of those with Day 1a, the first of three starting days.
The plan for the day is to plan 14 levels, each one lasting 40 minutes under the Allen Kessler-approved structure. Blinds begin at 50/100 with each player holding 20,000 in chips to start off. Each player is allowed one reentry per starting flight in case of elimination, usable through the end of Level 9.
A big field is expected once again, so we'll see what transpires here on Day 1a.
