Current MSPT POY Sends Clinkscales to the Rail
Rex Clinkscales paid us a visit to inform us he was just eliminated from the tournament.
According to him, his final hand saw him limp with the ![]()
and Mark Hodge, who currently sits atop the MSPT Season 6 Player of the Year leaderboard, raise to 550. Three other players called, and Clinkscales sprung to life with a check-raise to 2,750. Hodge pushed back with a four-bet to 7,500, the other three players folded, and Clinkscales five-bet to 13,800. Hodge opted just to call with what turned out to be the ![]()
, and then the two got it all in on the ![]()
![]()
flop.
Clinkscales, who actually had the bigger stack by 2,000, was ahead, but the
turn left him drawing dead. The meaningless
was put out on the river, and Hodge was pushed the large pot.
Not long after, Clinkscales got his short stack all in preflop holding pocket sevens but failed to hold against the ![]()
of Hodge, who spiked an ace on the flop.
Clinkscales is undecided whether or not he'll fire a third bullet in the MSPT Golden Gates Main Event.
