Dichiaro Flats Two Pair

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

On a board of {4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Joseph Dichiaro was in the hijack and called a bet of roughly 1,000 from the player on his right. The {10-Hearts} hit the river, and the first player bet 2,200. Dichiaro called after thinking briefly, and he was against {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, no good against {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

A few recognizable faces are scattered throughout the room, the most prominent by far being that of 2004 Main Event champ Greg Raymer.

Welcome to Day 1b of Mid-States Poker Tour bestbet Jacksonville

Will Greg Raymer fire again on Day 1b?
Will Greg Raymer fire again on Day 1b?

One day after James Wilson bagged up 320,500 to lead the 31 survivors of Day 1a, Day 1b is set to begin at Mid-States Poker Tour bestbet Jacksonville. The tour's first trip to the new market coaxed a sizable turnout of 185 runners, and another big field is expected today.

Austin McCullers (242,000), Toby Boas (239,500), Timothy Forsberg (234,000), Men “Not the Master” Nguyen (221,500), former MSPT Player of the Year Patrick Steele (200,500), Judd Greenagel (145,000), Mark Hodge (109,500), Jason Zarlenga (89,000), and Steve Anderson (42,000) also survived the day, so we'll not see them. Matt Kirby, Adam Lamphere, "East Coast" Mike Ross, and 2004 Main Event champ Greg Raymer were shown the door during the course of Day 1a play though, so perhaps they'll make return appearances on Day 1b.

Cards are scheduled to fly at 2 p.m. local time, and the tournament will run with some slight variations compared to most MSPT events, including the two hours earlier start. Reentries are unlimited until the beginning of Level 10, which comes after a short dinner break (another venue-specific wrinkle), and the structure is slightly different, though it closely resembles the Allen Kessler-approved one the tour adopted last year.
