Blake Bohn
Blake Bohn

Blake Bohn bet 94,000 from the cutoff on a {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} board, and Justin Liberto called on the button. Bohn fired again for 203,000 on the {j-Clubs} river, and Liberto thought only briefly before verbalizing a call.

Bohn showed {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}, having backed into the nut straight.

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Tim Bryan - 6th Place
Tim Bryan - 6th Place

Greg Himmelbrand opened for 32,000 under the gun, and Tim Bryan defended his big blind. Bryan fired out 50,000 on the {5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, and Himmelbrand raised to 150,000. Bryan put his last 270,000 in, and Himmelbrand was forced to call with {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Bryan had {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and was leading, but a {q-Clubs} turn and {k-Hearts} river meant he was done in.

Liberto Stacking Up

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Justin Liberto
Justin Liberto

Justin Liberto has nearly doubled his stack without a showdown. His most recent big win came when Vinod Moorjani opened under the gun, Greg Himmelbrand three-bet to 85,000 on the button, and Liberto cold-called in the big blind. Moorjani called as well, and he bet 125,000 after Liberto checked the {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop. Himmelbrand folded, but Liberto told the dealer he was all in, causing some consternation to Moorjani, who has been unable to win a pot against Liberto. Moorjani folded after about a minute.

Bryan Doubles Through Himmelbrand

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Greg Himmelbrand opened to 32,000 under the gun, Billy Jacobini called, and Tim Bryan shoved all in for about 130,000. Himmelbrand called, and Jacobini folded. Himmelbrand spun his {6-Spades}{5-Spades} into the middle with resignation, figuring he was way behind. It wasn't the case though, as Bryan had {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

A {k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} board doubled Bryan up.

Daniel Fisher - 9th Place
Daniel Fisher - 9th Place

Daniel Fisher raised to 25,000 on the button, and Vinod Moorjani called in the big blind. Action checked to the turn with board reading {2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, and Fisher bet 25,000. Moorjani called and then sprang to life with 75,000 on the {a-Diamonds} river. Fisher thought for awhile and called off nearly all of his stack, leaving 4,000 back.

Moorjani showed {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flopped nuts. Fisher busted out the next hand when Justin Liberto hit a set.

Bryan Maxin - 10th Place
Bryan Maxin - 10th Place

Bryan Maxin pushed his last 70,000 into the pot under the gun. Action folded to Billy Jacobini, who called in the small blind.

"I didn't look," Maxin said, turning up {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Jacobini had {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, and the gutshot sweat was on after an {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. Maxin needed a deuce but didn't find one on the last two streets, and he was first to fall at the final table.

Bond: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Maxin: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, giving Bond the double.
