Two time WSOP Circuit Ring winner Rex Clinkscales has joined the field for his first ever MSPT event. Rex traveled to this event with Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler, and within the first 30 minutes of his late registration has managed to more than double his starting stack.
Dave Carey opened to 1,500 in the cutoff, Dan Hamm shoved all-in for 13,200 on the button. A player in the big blind also shoved all-in for 30,000. With action back on Carey, he snap called.

Carey maintained the lead when the flop came .
But the on the turned gave Hamm the lead with his set of queens.
The river did not improve Carey's hand, and Hamm was awarded a full triple up.
Rex Clinkscales raised to 2,000, and the player directly to his left shoved all-in for 8,250. Clinkscales threw in a chip to signal the call but did not look excited to make it.

Previous MSPT Champion Dan Hendrickson is making great headway so far this flight. He is currently sitting around 110,000 and one of the largest stacks in the room. Lawrence Barbetta is not far behind.
Jonathan Olson, Allen Kessler, Joshua Reichard, and Sherry Hammers have all been eliminated but have the option of playing again tomorrow in flight 1b, which will start at 4 p.m. Central time.
