Welcome to the third starting flight of the $360 MSPT Golden Gates Regional Event. Day 1c is set to begin at noon local time.
The first two starting flights attracted 287 players, with many more expected to take their seats today and tomorrow.
Out of the 287 entries, 38 have already made it to Day 2, which will take place on Sunday November 17th at noon. Fresh players and the ones that fell at one of the hurdles over the past two days can try again in today's flight and in tomorrow's final flight.
Defending champion Aaron Frei, Day 1a Chip Leader, currently holds the overall chip lead with 443,000, the only stack above the 400,000 mark.
For the $360 buy-in, players will receive a starting stack of 20,000. Levels will be of 30 minutes and there will be a 15-minute break every four levels with a 30-minute dinner break at the completion of Level 12. Late registration and re-entries will remain available until the start of Level 13. Just like the other flights, Day 1c will play through 15 levels.
Players who bag at the end of a flight are not allowed to play a future flight unless they forfeit their stack. Ante will come from the Big Blind only but the tournament will transition from Big Blind Ante to Standard Ante when 27 players remain.

The tournament director has announced the ceremonial "Shuffle Up and Deal" and cards are in the air.
The player in middle position limped along with the player on the button. The player in the small blind and Matt Soban, in the big blind, checked.
The dealer spread a flop of that was checked around to the turn. Action was checked again to Soban who fired 300 and the big blind was the only caller.
The river filled up the board and the big blind checked for a third time. Soban threw in a bet of 700 and his opponent gave it some thought, then folded face up.

Terry Harper opened to 400 on the cutoff and the player on the button called.
The flop fell and Harper threw in a bet of 800 that his opponent called.
The dealer burned and turned the and Harper continued with a bet of 1,500, that was enough to claim the pot.

The player under the gun raised to 300 and action folded to Blaine Harrow who called from the big blind.
The dealer fanned a flop of and Harrow checked. The player under the gun bet 700 and Harrow check-called.
The turn brought the and was checked through to the river. This time, Harrow led out with a bet of 1,500 and his opponent called. Harrow tabled for a pair of aces and his opponent mucked.

The player under the gun limped and the player in mid-position raised to 400. Gene Gioia called from the hijack along with the small blind and the big blind. The player under the gun stuck around with a call as well.
Players saw a flop of and action was checked to the player in mid-position who bet 1,100. Gioia called and the small blind check-called as well. The big blind and the player under the gun folded.
The turn came the and was checked through to the river. The small blind and the player in mid-position checked once more but Gioia fired 5,000. Both of his opponents gave up their hands.
