Hofer Hits the River

There was 2,000 in the middle from preflop action as the dealer fanned a flop of . The first player to act was under the gun and he checked to put action onto Robert Hofer, who was in early position. Hofer also checked to the third and final player in the hand, who was in middle position and bet 1,200. The under-the-gun player folded and Hofer called.

Action went heads up to the turn and Hofer checked again. The middle-position player bet 2,100 and Hofer quickly called. The river came and Hofer checked to his opponent once more. The player threw out a bet of 5,100 and Hofer immediately threw out a T5,000 chip again to call.

The bettor balked at showing his hand and Hofer fluidly reached back to his stack, grabbed a T100 chip, and threw it in to unnecessarily fully complete the call.

The middle-position player then tabled for a pair of sixes. Hofer showed for a pair of kings and took down the pot.
