Zuccarello Dusts Sun

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Cero Zuccarello
Cero Zuccarello

Cero Zuccarello opened the action with a raise to 1,000 from middle position and had received calls from the hijack and the small blind before John Sun three-bet all in for his last 11,000 from the big blind. Zuccarello called and the two players behind him folded, leaving the two to turn up their hands in preparation for the runout.

John Sun: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Cero Zuccarello: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Sun needed to improve to stay alive and was unable to do so as the board ran out {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, earning Zuccarello the pot as Sun made his way from the tournament area.

Kim Pushes Out the Competition

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Yoon Kim
Yoon Kim

Walter Weiss opened the action with a raise to 1,500 from middle position and was called by the hijack and the cutoff. Yoon Kim was on the button and came along as well, as did the big blind to take action five ways to a flop of {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Action checked to the hijack, who put out a bet of 3,000. The cutoff called and Kim put in a raise to 6,300. Action folded back to the hijack, and both he and the cutoff called.

Three players then saw the turn {4-Clubs} and both the hijack and cutoff checked to Kim, who went all in for 13,200 more.

Both players folded and he took down the pot.

"Chop, I Guess"

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Todd Melander
Todd Melander

Action was three-handed on a board reading {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} with just under 8,000 in the middle and James Ahlers was first to act out of the small blind. He checked to put action onto the big blind, who bet 4,000. Todd Melander was the final player in the hand and called from the hijack.

All three players then saw the river come {q-Hearts} and action checked through to showdown.

Ahlers showed {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for two pair, tens and fives with no kicker to play beyond the board's queen. The big blind sent his cards to the muck and then Melander tabled {8-Spades}{5-Spades}.

"Chop, I guess," said Melander as he showed his hand. The dealer confirmed and split up the pot.

"Someone Call, Please"

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Danny Sepiol
Danny Sepiol

Aaron Johnson saw action folded to him in the cutoff and opened to 1,400. He received a call from Bryan Manke, who was on the button, to put action onto Danny Sepiol in the small blind. Sepiol three-bet all in for 16,000, sending the big blind into the tank with a decision for nearly a full starting stack.

After over a minute, the big blind folded. Both Johnson and Manke quickly folded afterwards.

"Someone call, please!" said the big blind, half-joking as he watched the two players still left in the hand both fold. "I call!" he then added with a smile.

Sepiol was the only player with cards left, however, and saw the dealer send the pot his way. The big blind then added that he felt good about his chances against Sepiol, but elected to fold because he was concerned about getting further action from either Johnson or Manke.

Broom Doubles Through Herstein

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Kyle Broom
Kyle Broom

An all in and a call were overheard and Kyle Broom got the last of his chips all in from the button versus Gary Herstein, who was under the gun.

Kyle Broom: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Gary Herstein: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Broom watched the flop come {2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, planting him even further out in front with a set of aces. He would only need to fade running broadway cards or running tens, and the turn {7-Spades} ensured he would do just that, leaving Herstein drawing dead as the river {j-Hearts} came to complete the runout and score him Broom the double.

Manke Sends One To the Showers

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Bryan Manke
Bryan Manke

There was around 20,000 in the pot with heads-up action between Bryan Manke, who was in the big blind and an opponent in early position. The board read {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Manke announced he was all in, sliding out well over a pot-sized bet.

The early-position player had about 14,000 left behind him, meaning he was the one who was put to a decision for the rest of his chips. After close to a minute, he committed the chips into the pot.

All-In Player: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Bryan Manke: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

"Gah! Good game," said the player, standing up as the river fell {k-Diamonds}. Manke's jacks remained best at showdown and the pot was sent his way, bringing him close to three starting stacks worth of chips around 30 minutes after the second break of the day.
