Welcome back to PokerNews coverage for Day 1b of the 2019 MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Championship, the second of three initial starting flights.
Play gets underway at 3 p.m. local time and after 120 Day 1a entries, the $300,000 guaranteed prize pool is likely to be challenged today and well on its way to being exceeded through the weekend. Sixteen players advanced out of those 120 with Paul Camby (465,000) finishing the day as chip leader by a wide margin with more than three times an average stack.
All players will receive 15,000 in chips to start for their $1,100 buy-in and can receive another 5,000 for a $10 add-on. Blinds start at 100/100 with 15 levels of 40 minutes each on the schedule. Breaks will occur at the completion of every three levels, and late registration will remain open until the beginning of Level 13.
Players are allowed one re-entry into this flight should they bust, and all players not on the Day 2 roster will have the option to play Saturday’s Day 1c at 1 p.m. as well, the final opportunity to advance to Sunday’s Day 2 where the field will combine and play down to a winner.
PokerNews will be on the floor providing updates on the action all day long. Don’t miss any of it.
