Goetze Given a Gift
A player raised to 2,000 under the gun and John Goetze called on his direct left. A player in middle position then three-bet to 7,500 and action folded back to the original opener, who called. Goetze called as well, and the three players saw the flop come

The under-the-gun player checked to put action onto Goetze, who wasted no time betting 6,000. The three-bettor in middle position reraised all in just as quickly, committing his last 15,600. Action was then back on under the gun, and he looked bewildered as he went into the tank for nearly three full minutes. Eventually, he shook his head and tossed his cards to the muck. Goetze then picked up one chip from his stack and set it on top of his initial bet to signify a call.
