Sunday marks the first time the tournament field of the 2020 Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) will all be under one roof at the same time, as 326 players will return for Day 2 from the 1,069 entries logged across three starting flights to continue their quest for the next MSPT Main Event title.
With registration still open through the first two hours of Day 2, those 326 will be joined by countless more that have already registered since they had the chance to do so on Saturday night. A full house will guarantee some if not all Day 2 registrants will be placed onto an Alternate list and seated when there is space to accommodate.
Day 1c chip leader Scott Sisler (353,000) enters the day with the chip lead, though Day 1b chip leader Jora Beit (345,000) is right behind. Aaron Van Blarcum (337,000), Matt Bond (321,500), and Day 1a chip leader Salim Admon (293,000) round out the top five coming into Day 2.
A stacked field is looking up at those players, with mainstays to the poker world such as Viet Vo (186,000), Nipun Java (145,500), Nick Pupillo (122,000), Farid Jattin (108,000), and Mike Shin (53,000) spread throughout the counts. Last week's $1,100 Main Event champion Landon Tice (108,000) is also still in contention and looking to earn back-to-back titles.
Cards are in the air at 11 a.m. sharp with play set to resume at the start of Level 11 (1,000/1,500/1,500). Ten one-hour levels are on the schedule for Day 2 with 15-minute breaks after Levels 12, 14, and 18 along with a 45-minute dinner break at the completion of Level 16. All who remain at the end of Level 20 will once again bag and tag their chips to come back for Monday's Day 3 to play down to a winner.
PokerNews has you covered on all of the action regardless of where you are, so be sure to hang around.

All of the chips had gone into the middle preflop between Marcel Schwarz in the hijack and Email Landeros, who was in the big blind and at risk for his tournament life.
Email Landeros:
Marcel Schwarz:
Landeros was ahead but failed to remain there through the flop . He was unable to find a two outer as the turn and river completed the runout to send him to the rail in the opening minutes of the day.
Also eliminated early on was Cody Wiegmann, whose seat was no longer occupied after entering the day with a stack of 23,500.

Eyal Revah opened the action with a raise to 3,500 in the hijack and received a call from Alec Magdan in the small blind. Ben Keeline was in the big blind with a fresh stack of 28,500 after paying his big-blind ante and three-bet shoved to put action back onto Revah.
"I have too much chips to play bad," said Revah after a bit of thought. He folded and then Magdan immediately called.
