Buell Sets Up Steele for Double

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Steve Buell
Steve Buell

There was heads-up action after a {4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop between Steve Buell from the cutoff and MSPT Hall of Famer Pat Steele from the button.

Buell led out for 6,500 and Steel called bringing the {9-Clubs} turn. Buell fired out another bet of 7,000 and Steel called to see the {5-Clubs} complete the board on the river.

Buell continued with his aggression and moved all-in for 10,500 and Steele reluctantly called. Buell showed {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for a set of aces and Steele mucked {k-}{k-} face up.

Mistake Ends Up Benefitting Williams

Level 3 : 200/200, 300 ante
Adai Williams
Adai Williams

A series of preflop raises saw Jeffrey Sherman jam for 7,300 from middle position and Adai Williams called from the cutoff only to have Benjamin Wiora five-bet to 20,000 from the button.

Gregory Asche called off his stack holding less then 20k from the small blind and action folded back to Williams who said, "I guess if you have aces you have aces but I call," as he moved all his chips in the middle then tabled {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Williams got ahead of himself as he only called the 20k bet instead of going all in, so he pulled back the rest of his chips and the dealer dropped a {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop.

Williams quickly moved his remaining stack in the middle and his earlier excitement seemed to hurt him as Wiora mucked {a-Spades}{q-Spades} face up.

Jeffrey Sherman: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Gregory Asche: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Adai Williams: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Williams held the bets made hand and the {8-Spades} turn didn't change as it paired the board. The dealer then completed the board with teh {a-Hearts} on the river and Williams gave Wiora a relieved look as he collected the pot.
