Dirty River Sends Ghanem Packing

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Saad Ghanem
Saad Ghanem

Action folded to Saad Ghanem who open-jammed for roughly 40,000 from the hijack and Mike Morris isolated from the button.

Saad Ghanem: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Mike Morris: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

It was a classic race with Ghanem looking to connect with either of his two overs but neither appeared on the {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop which gave Morris a gutshot straight draw.

The {k-Hearts} did fall on the turn to put Ghanem out in front with a pair of kings while giving him the nut flush draw but it also gave Morris a straight flush draw.

Ghanem's tournament rested on the river, but it was one he didn't want to see as the {10-Clubs} came crashing down giving Morris a set of tens and ended Ghanem's tournament.

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Alex Winter
Alex Winter

Action on the table folded to Alex Winter who raised to 4,000 from the small blind and then snapped-off his 46,000 stack after Josh Alpuerto three-bet jammed for more from the big blind.

Alex Winter: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Josh Alpuerto: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Winter was behind in a classic race and couldn't find either of his two overs on the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs} runout ending his tournament.

Tom Stambaugh
Tom Stambaugh

Action folded to the cutoff player who raised all in and Tom Stambaugh called off his 18,000 stack from the big blind.

Tom Stambaugh: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Stambaugh was racing for his tournament but didn't get any help from the {3-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} runout and he took his exit from the tournament field.

Johnson Turns Trips for Double Elimiantion

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ty Johnson
Ty Johnson

There was three-way action after a {6-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop which included Ty Johnson from the hijack.

The player under the gun led out with a bet and Johnson called before the button player squeezed for 13,200. The player under the gun called, as did Johnson and the {q-Clubs} paired the board on the river.

The player under the gun led out for 10,000 and then called off their 32,900 stack after Johnson raised all in for 33,700.

Button Player: {k-Spades}{7-Spades}
Under the Gun Player: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Ty Johnson: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Johnson turned a lucky lady to take the lead and faded the river as the {7-Hearts} completed the board to secure him the pot.

Tran Wins Race for Double

Level 3 : 200/200, 300 ante
Andy Tran
Andy Tran

A series of preflop raises saw Andy Tran get his 18,300 stack in the middle from early position and Chou Yang called from sitting directly to his left.

Andy Tran: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Chou Yang: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

It was a classic race with Tran looking to connect with either of his two overs and luckily for him, the sweat didn't last long as an ace appeared in the window on the {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop.

The {7-Clubs} turn didn't change a thing nor did the {5-Diamonds} river and Tran collected his double-up.

Winter Lets Mader Make Broadway

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante
Phil Mader
Phil Mader

After Tyler Kolness limped-in from under the gun, Cory Nordstrand raised to 300 from the next seat over and Phil Mader three-bet to 900 from the hijack.

Action folded to Alex Winter who four-bet to 2,600 from the big blind and only Mader called.

The {k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades} board was checked to the {j-Hearts} river where Winter check-called Mader's 2,000 bet.

Mader rolled over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for Broadway and Winter shook his head as he mucked {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} face up.
