Salazar Denied Knockout

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Eric Salazar
Eric Salazar

Eric Salazar raised to 7,000 from the cutoff only to have the player in the small blind three-bet jam for 62,000. Salazar asked for a count, paused for a few beats, and then made the call.

Eric Salazar: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Salazar had the better ace and the kicker played after the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop gave both players two pair.

The {6-Clubs} turn was of no consequence but the {3-Spades} river was as it rendered the kicker useless as both players made a full house to chop.

More Chips for McClenahan

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Zach McClenahan raised to 7,500 from early position and was called by the player in the small blind. The big-blind player then moved all in, which got a call from McClenahan and a fold from the small-blind player.

Zach McClenahan: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
All-in Player: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

McClenahan was well-ahead and the {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Clubs}{a-Spades} runout changed nothing and sent another player home.

Shmuelov Binks and Fades

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The hijack opened for 6,000 and Yotam Shmuelov moved in for 51,000 in the next seat. Action folded back to the opener, who seemed to consider a fold but opted to stick the money in with a "good luck."

Shmuelov: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Shmuelov did need some luck but the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts} brought it. The {6-Hearts} turn left him fading more cards on the river, but the {j-Clubs} was safe for him.

Quads for Yeh and Yay for Quads

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After a preflop raise to 10,000 Jeff Yeh, who was the next to act, moved all in and was called by the original raiser.

Jeff Yeh: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Original Raiser: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

After the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop Yeh didn't have to worry about too much. The {5-Spades} turn sealed the deal for him and the {a-Spades} river just seemed like overkill.

Bartelme Shows

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

About 60,000 was in the pot preflop when three players checked to Missy Bartelme in the hijack. She bet 25,000 and was called by the small blind before the other two folded on the {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop. On the {j-Spades} turn, the small blind checked and Bartelme bet 70,000.

"Trying to push me around huh?" he said after about a minute in the tank.

Another minute later and he folded, and Bartelme showed {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

"I didn't love it if you went all in on the turn, but I wasn't getting away from it," she said.

Bartelme Inflicts Max Payne

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Missy Bartelme
Missy Bartelme

Right before the level went up, Korey Payne, who back in November won the MSPT Venetian $1,600 Main Event for $327,773, raised to 6,000 from middle position and Wisconsin's Missy Bartelme called next to act.

The rest of the players folded and it was heads-up action to the flop, which came down {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Both players checked and the dealer burned and turned the {6-Spades}.

Payne bet 16,000, Bartelme called, and a {7-} completed the board on the river.

Payne moved all in for his last 55,000 or so and Bartelme quickly called.

Missy Bartelme: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Korey Payne: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Payne's bluff was picked off by Bartelme, who had rivered a full house. With that, a former MSPT champ bowed out while Bartelme vaulted up the chip counts.

Baime Can't Fade Huge Draw

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Right before the level went up, Ken Baime bet 16,000 on a board of {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. Big blind Ivin Arquiza shoved all in, an in-between player folded, and Baime quickly called off about 77K with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Arquiza was drawing big with {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and hit the {4-Clubs} turn to make his flush. Baime needed to find a pair on the board but it was an {8-Diamonds} river.
